Epoxy Machined Component

Description

1.. Product Introduction
The insulated through-core rod for metal-oxide surge arresters is a core internal component of composite-housed metal-oxide surge arresters. Manufactured using continuous alkali-free glass fibers impregnated with epoxy resin and formed through high-temperature pultrusion, it is used for internal compression and support of zinc-oxide resistor disks within the arrester, serving both mechanical fastening and primary insulation functions. Specifications can be customized to meet assembly requirements for arresters of various voltage classes.
2. Product Performance Features
Excellent Electrical Performance: Dense structure with no delamination or air bubbles, high dielectric strength, stable volume resistivity, effectively suppresses partial discharge, ensuring long-term insulation reliability of the arrester.
High Mechanical Strength: High tensile, flexural, and impact strength, with stable rigidity, continuously compresses resistor disks and withstands transportation and operational vibration loads.
Environmental Durability: Low water absorption, resistant to damp-heat and salt-spray corrosion, passes water diffusion and dye penetration tests, resistant to moisture-induced degradation.
Precise Dimensional Accuracy: Straight rod body with controllable tolerances; can be precision-machined with threads and end faces, suitable for automated arrester assembly.
Lightweight: Density significantly lower than metal, reducing overall arrester weight, suitable for long-term outdoor service conditions.
