Founded in December 1995, Shaanxi Taporel Electrical Insulation Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, and global sales of electrical insulation and fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composite materials. Located in the Xi’an Jinghe Industrial Park, our facility spans 73,332 m² (110 acres) with a total construction area of 98,000 m².

Under our registered brand 【Taporel】, we offer over 20 types of high-performance products, including:
- Insulating Rods: Epoxy rods (round, square, and custom profiles), VPI pultruded core rods.
- Insulating Tubes: Epoxy filament wound tubes/cylinders (cloth/filament), Pultruded & Wound tubes, PD-free (Partial Discharge-free) tubes, and foam-filled tubes.

Taporel products cover voltage levels from 10kV to 1100kV. Production Scale & World-Class Testing
Taporel operates as China’s largest manufacturer of pultruded core rods and a leading producer of filament wound cylinders. Our infrastructure includes:
- 100 Pultrusion Lines: Daily capacity of 20,000 kg (calculated at Φ18 core rods).
- High-Voltage Testing Hall: A massive 24m x 24m x 20m facility equipped with 600kV, 300kV, and 200kV power frequency withstand devices.
- Advanced R&D Equipment: 900kV impulse voltage generator, Partial Discharge (PD) testers, 500kN tensile strength machines, and stress-corrosion testing systems.
Innovation, Patents & Certifications
As a national high-tech enterprise and recipient of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Taporel holds nearly 10 invention patents, including:
- Release Agent-Free Core Rods: (Patent No. 200610041850.1) — The only core rod in China to pass type tests at the KEMA Laboratories (Netherlands).
- PD-Free Filament Wound Tubes: (Patent No. ZL 2010 1 0109659.2).
Our commitment to quality is backed by rigorous international testing, including the 5000-hour stress corrosion test (Wuhan HV Research Institute), 1 million vibration cycles, and the ASTM 100-hour boiling test. In 2024, we achieved Green Factory Certification, Carbon Footprint Certification, and Intelligent Manufacturing Management System Certification.
Taporel is a lead drafter of China’s national standards (GB/T 2300-2008) and UHV composite insulator core rod standards. We strictly implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
